I have been waiting to write this post for a really long time! I don't know if you have ever seen a Brand or Website Style Guide, but they are pretty fun to look at. (There are a ton on Pinterest.) Months ago when I was tossing around ideas for this blog, I realized that the same template used for branding could be used for a person and their wardrobe.
Over the past three posts we have learned about one reader's wardrobe, including her most frequently worn pieces, her recurring colors, and her uniforms. I have bundled all of the most important aspects of her style into a Personalized Style Guide.
Let's take a look!
As you can see, I have outlined 5 of her key pieces that will help her transition from Winter into Spring. These five pieces include some of her most worn items. The pieces would be customized according to each person, as well as whether it is a year-round wardrobe, a seasonal capsule, or a travel packing list.
The color palette shows both her neutral base colors and her accent colors that make her outfits. You'll note that I included tan in order to incorporate her most-worn boots, but tan will be a great color for a pair of Spring flats or sandals as the weather warms up.
Since we are still in a period of seasonal transition, her Winter uniforms and suggested Spring uniforms are shown. She will be able to make countless outfits that fit into these uniforms. Of course, these are not the only options! Just suggestions based on style and outfits preferences.
Style Elements draw inspiration from the color palette and the clothes frequently worn. Since this is a transitional capsule, you see elements of Winter as well as bright Spring color.
